Calls go to the Vector Control Unit of the Environmental Health Services Division (215) 685-9000, which is the Unit in the Health Department that goes out to inspect.
Vector Control will inspect and issue a Notice to Remove to the property owner. Vector Control will not remove the plants at all.

Noxious Plants. Whenever the Department finds any noxious plants such as ragweed or poison ivy growing on any uncultivated area to the extent that they are or may become a menace to public health, the Department may order the owner or person in charge thereof to correct or remove such condition. |
