How can I get a copy of my deed?
A copy of a deed, which is public information, may be requested either in person, by mail, or online. Online is the easiest way to get a copy.

Appointments are not currently required to obtain a copy of a deed. Appointments are again required for the recording of documents in person. Email appointments.records@phila.gov to schedule. All other Department of Records offices do not require an appointment. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. |
You can pay by cash, money order, business, or certified check.
They do not accept personal checks, credit, or debit cards. Make checks payable to “City of Philadelphia.”To get a copy of a deed online:

First, email records.info@phila.gov to request how many pages the deed is for a particular address, then postal mail the Department of Records, Room 154 City Hall, Philadelphia PA 19107 with the request for the deed from the address and payment.
Money order or cashier's check only. No other forms of payment are accepted by mail.
You Should Know:If the deed was recorded in 1975 or later, you may request a copy online or by mail.
If the deed was recorded between 1955 and 1975, it must be requested by mail.
If the deed was recorded before 1955, you must request it from the City Archives. Use How do I contact City Archives?
The fee is $2 per page, then $2 for certification of the copy.
