Article Information

Answer
Houses not owned by the City of Philadelphia must be purchased from the owner directly through a private sale.

In cases where the owner is deceased, private research must be done to locate the executor of the estate.

You can begin by obtaining deed information from the Reference Room City Hall Room 154. For more information on obtaining a deed, call
(215) 686-2292.
