How do I apply for an Activity License?
While applying for a Commercial Activity License (CAL) in Licenses & Inspection's (L+I) eCLIPSE system, a user is offered three options: Commercial Activity, Non-Profit Activity, and 2-4 Unit Owner-Occupied Housing.

Most users that do some form of business will want to select the Commercial Activity options. This is for holders of a Commercial Activity License (CAL) formerly known as the Business Privilege License (BPL). Your CAL number can be found on your initial CAL/BPL license or by doing a search by Business Name on the eCLIPSE system. The CAL will be listed under the Activity License Number column.

If you are a Non-Profit organization and you do not have a CAL, select the Non-Profit Activity choice. You will be asked later for your Non-Profit Online Identifier. This number is included in your License Renewal Invoice (Example 2). If you are still unsure of your number, the agent is to complete an LI Escalation service request.
