How do I file for child support?
To file for Child Support by mail, click here to 
download the application, and mail or deliver to the County office.

To file for Child Support in Philadelphia in-person, visit the County office at PHILADELPHIA FAMILY COURT, DOMESTIC RELATIONS BRANCH, FAMILY COURT BUILDING, 1501 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19107
The initial fee to file for child support is a minimum of
$23.50.

You Should Know:
A Child Support Order is a written order signed by a judge stating a specific amount of money to be paid at specific times for the care of a child.
  • It may also include information about who is responsible for health insurance for the child.
  • In order to obtain Child Support in Philadelphia, the parent must be a resident of Philadelphia and have proof that the child resides primarily with them.
  • A custody order or agreement is not required to file and establish child support.
