How do I request a traffic-calming device?  (ex. Speed cushion) (SERVICE REQUEST)
To submit a Traffic Calming Request, please submit a Traffic Calming Service Request.


Reporting Procedures:
· Customer name, address, telephone, and email must be provided with this request.
· Location where the traffic calming device is being requested (Do not use an intersection).
 
You Should Know:
· All eligible blocks will receive an internal priority score based on safety, equity, and community data.
· Staff reviews of high-priority requests occur approximately three times a year.
· Customers requesting high-priority locations that pass all assessment rounds will be contacted by the Streets Department via email and must submit a petition signed by at least 60% of residents on the block.
· Permanent speed cushions will be designed and installed after the petition is returned to the Streets Department.
· The construction of speed cushions typically occurs between May - October.
