How do you find out who owns a property?
The Office of Property Assessment (215) 686-4334 provides automated property information.  For more information, visit property.phila.gov  ​
To find out who owns a parcel, visit opa.phila.gov and use the Office of Property Assessment Property Search Tool or use Atlas.

You Should Know:
The City of Philadelphia, as well as some of the quasi-governmental agencies, owns property in the City.
To find out about city-owned or vacant properties, visit phdcphila.org or call the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (215) 448-3000.
The great majority of land in Philadelphia is held by private owners.

Further Information:
Residents can request that the Office of Property Assessment conduct a First Level Review, an informal process in which the agency takes a second look at its own work. This is a way to check if the property tax increases are correct.
