Catholic Social Services provides low-cost legal services to immigrants in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Services include assistance with asylum and citizenship applications and court representation in matters involving immigration.

Esperanza provides direct legal services to low-income U.S. citizen and foreign-born individuals and their families needing assistance with immigration matters. Services include family reunification, green card applications, citizenship and naturalization, and assistance for victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, or other crimes. Esperanza also offers workshops on immigrant rights and immigration law matters.

HIAS Pennsylvania provides legal, resettlement, citizenship, and supportive services to immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers from all backgrounds in order to ensure their fair treatment and full integration into American society. Services include refugee resettlement, support for those recently granted asylum, as well as legal services for those who seek asylum, family unification, permanent legal status, and citizenship.

The Nationalities Service Center provides legal, social, and educational services to immigrants, refugees, and other non-English-speaking people. Services include refugee resettlement, economic self-sufficiency programs, English classes, legal assistance, interpretation, employment preparation, and programs for the elderly.

PICC represents the needs of immigrants, migrants, refugees and other new Americans to policymakers, public officials, and the general public. Advocacy areas include increasing access to public services, improving law-enforcement relations, ensuring worker rights, and expanding access to driver’s licenses, Social Security numbers, and other documentation. PICC also registers new voters.

Provide free legal immigration clinic twice a month. The clinic is hosted on the first and third Wednesday of the month from 3:30 pm by appointment only. Help people apply for their U.S. Citizenship, renew their Green Cards, and provide free consultations on other Immigration questions and issues they may have.

Legal Services for eligible low-income immigrants on matters related to employment. FOF also runs special projects relating to assisting victims of labor trafficking, victims of “notario” fraud, and women who have experienced workplace sexual harassment and assault. FOF runs a twice-weekly legal clinic at Puentes de Salud medical clinic in South Philadelphia.

Victim/Witness Services of South Philadelphia (V/WSSP) offers direct assistance and support to crime victims, witnesses and their families in the three Police districts of South Philadelphia: the 1st, 3rd, and 17th.

CLS handles cases for all low-income Philadelphians, regardless of immigration status. CLS provides advice and representation for civil legal problems relating to employment, access to health care, public benefits, SSI, debt and consumer problems, housing, utilities, criminal and child abuse records, long-term care, services for senior citizens, homeownership, DHS (parents only), language access, and other issues. CLS also works with policymakers and offers training and community education on legal issues affecting low-income clients.
ACANA provides culturally sensitive social services, cultural programs, economic and workforce development programs, community engagement and development programs, and other services targeting mainly African and Caribbean immigrants in the United States.
