The Department of Public Health Vector Control Services (215) 685-9000 responds to complaints about rats inside and outside of residences and outdoors. Environmental Health Inspectors will inspect the site, provide treatment for the problem, and make recommendations to keep residences rodent-free.
- Single-family homeowners and single-family home renters can call about rats in the neighborhood and Vector Control will investigate and treat them accordingly.
- Single-family homeowners and single-family home renters must address internal rat, mouse, and insect infestations privately.
- Renters in apartments can call about rats outside of the building and Vector Control will treat the area outside only.
- Residents in apartments can report mice inside the dwelling to L+I through a Maintenance Service Request.
